Lorem ipsum generator
Generate placeholder text by paragraphs, sentences or words.
Where lorem ipsum comes from
Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin based on a passage from Cicero's De finibus bonorum et malorum, written in 45 BC. It has been used as filler text in printing since the 1500s, because it has a natural-looking spread of letters without distracting readers with meaning.
Tip
Replace placeholder text with real content before you launch. Search engines treat lorem ipsum as low-quality content, and real words reveal layout problems placeholder text hides.
Questions
Is lorem ipsum real Latin?
Partly. It's altered Latin from Cicero with words cut and changed, so it doesn't make sense as Latin.
Can I generate an exact number of words?
Yes. Choose "words" and enter the number you need.
